Here are some organizations that provide financial resources for the families of children with cancer.
A Healing Grace strives to help families of children with cancer heal with grace and faithfulness through God. They provide fundraising assistance, Transportation and Housing Assistance, crowdfunding resources, and give grants to families with financial burdens from cancer. In addition, the Links of Love program highlights available grants that families may qualify for.
A Mother’s Rest offers respite and retreats for caregiving parents in various locations nationwide (including the Carolinas).
The Ashley G. Foundation raises money to fund cancer research and support families. This organization assists families with financial needs and bills, funds scholarships, and provides Christmas gifts to pediatric oncology patients at MUSC.
The AWOCCF assists families with monthly grants to those facing hardship due to a child’s cancer diagnosis and hosts the Helping Hands program. The Helping Hands program is a crowdfunding platform that helps families raise money without paying platform fees.
This program strives to lessen the financial burden on families of children with cancer through assistance covering prescription medication costs, travel costs, mortgage payments, and more.
To ease the financial strain that pediatric cancer puts on families, Camp Happy Days provides financial assistance to qualifying families to assist with bills, groceries, gas, and other everyday needs.
Campaign OAAT’s family support program hosts a fundraising opportunity for struggling families. Every dollar this program raises is given to the families who need it.
Cancer Heroes of the Carolinas is a nonprofit organization that strives to help families emotionally and financially. Financial aid programs include assistance with medical bills, electricity, water, mortgages and rent payments, insurance, gas, food, and more.
The Child Cancer Fund provides financial assistance to families fighting childhood cancer. The aid helps buffer the costs of household expenses like mortgage, rent, utilities, food, and more.
The Children’s Cancer Partners of the Carolinas is a nonprofit organization that provides resources to families of children with cancer. This organization supplies families with necessities, funds for transportation, and other vital services through contributions and partnerships with other organizations, such as the United Way Gift-in-Kind Center.

Cleaning for a Reason is a network of 1,200 residential cleaning companies that serve cancer families. Each client is eligible for two free home cleanings through this organization.
Clement’s Kindness Fund for the Children was established in 2002 through the Community Foundation of Greenville to address the needs of Upstate families impacted by pediatric and AYA cancers. Their financial resources aim to relieve the burden of monthly bills, travel costs, groceries, and more from families. Clement's Kindness supports families from Prisma Health and Bon Secour.
The Expect Miracles Foundation SAMfund supports young adult cancer survivors in the United States as they recover from the financial impact of cancer treatment. The SAM fund helps young adults progress toward their personal, professional, and academic goals through direct financial assistance and free online support and education.
Healthwell Pediatric Financial Assistance reduces financial barriers to care for medically underinsured patients with chronic or life-altering diseases. Assistance includes prescription co-pays; health insurance premiums, deductibles, and coinsurance; pediatric treatment costs; travel costs; and behavioral health services.
Hogs for the Cause is the premier nationwide funding source for outreach services for families of children with brain cancer. Since 2009, Hogs for the Cause has awarded around two million dollars to individual families.
The Landon Strong Foundation was created to support families impacted by childhood cancer by financial means. This foundation also strives to help families build faith through prayer and counseling, and they celebrate life along every milestone.
The LLS provides a series of patient financial assistance programs that help offset expenses ranging from insurance premiums, transportation, dental care, and more. The LLS showcases at least half a dozen programs and partners with “Dollar For” to help eliminate medical debt.
The NCCS’s Emergency Assistance Fund serves families who have a child that has been inpatient for more than 15 consecutive days. This three-hundred-dollar relief fund may be used for rent, utility payments, health insurance premiums, or other treatment related expenses.
The Parker Lee Project helps fill the gap between medical supplies and equipment for special needs children not covered by insurance.
The PHN is operated by a small group of advocates dedicated to helping lower the financial burden of prescription medication.

The Pinky Swear Foundation aims to reduce the financial burden for families as they navigate a child’s cancer diagnosis. Their services are applicable for rent or mortgage payments, aid for auto payments, gas cards, and grocery cards.
As a parent and a primary caregiver of a child with cancer, it is essential to be able to take a break or catch up on other vital tasks. The SC Respite Coalition is an organization that provides financial support to reimburse caregivers for respite care. Respite care can come in many forms, including in-home or center-based programs.
The Silverton Foundation provides mortgage and rent assistance to help reduce financial and emotional burdens, allowing parents to focus on their child’s health.
United Healthcare Children’s Foundation offers medical grants to children to get the care they need.
